Associate Planner (Retail)

What you will do

• Develop annual, seasonal, and monthly merchandise financial plans based on company goals, historical performance, and trend analysis.
• Create SKU-level sales and inventory plans for seasonal investment reviews.
• Analyze and reforecast open-to-buy, identifying strategies to maximize opportunities and reduce risk.
• Manage inventory throughout the product lifecycle and coordinate adjustments with sourcing partners and vendors.
• Develop pricing, promotional, and markdown actions to improve sales and margin.
• Evaluate store and distribution center stock and sales, conduct SKU hindsight analysis, and communicate KPI targets and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, or buying.
• High proficiency in Excel and a thorough understanding of retail math.
• Strong analytical curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.
