Kubernetes Administrator

TL;DR

Kubernetes Administrator (Kubernetes/VMware): Managing and optimizing production, testing, and development Kubernetes clusters with an accent on high availability, scalability, security, and network infrastructure. Focus on automating infrastructure operations, solving complex performance issues, and coordinating improvements with development and DevOps teams.

Location: Hybrid work in Prague, Brno, or Pardubice.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters across production, testing, and development environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, monitoring, backup, security, and compliance of Kubernetes environments.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, networking, and security issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, network policies, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Automate Kubernetes and virtual infrastructure operations using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Plan and implement upgrades and patches, while participating in VMware management and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams, coordinate work with less experienced colleagues, and propose infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and operational experience with virtualization technologies.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and network policies.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, infrastructure scripting, monitoring, logging, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Czech language proficiency is required; English at B2 level is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of VMware Tanzu and VMware vSphere.
