Senior Software Engineer (Golang + Kubernetes)

Senior Software Engineer (Golang + Kubernetes) (Cloud Platform/DevOps): Building and operating shared CI/CD pipelines, automation, and observability solutions for cloud-based products with an accent on scalable, low-latency systems, Kubernetes, and production reliability. Location: Remote from Canada; participation in an after-hours on-call rotation is required when emergencies arise.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a CI/CD pipeline used across multiple products and services.
• Build automation and integrations with Golang, Python, Terraform, and Unix shell scripting.
• Onboard services and components while improving how cloud products are built, tested, operated, and monitored.
• Maintain service architecture with focus on availability, performance, capacity planning, change management, and emergency response.
• Collaborate across teams through design discussions, code reviews, integrations, and internal and external product support.
• Own and operate the services developed by the team, including participation in on-call support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps or build, release, and rollback experience, including production delivery.
• Professional object-oriented programming experience with Golang and Python.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Git branching and merging strategies, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory.
• Experience with observability dashboards, monitoring, reporting, centralized logging, and performance and scalability analysis.
• Experience with Terraform, Puppet, Unix shell scripting, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
• Knowledge of AWS or GCP products such as EC2, EKS, or ECS, plus security best practices; a computer science or related degree is expected.

• Knowledge of Drupal, MySQL, Apache, and other open-source software.
