TL;DR

Temp Test Technician (Electronics): Qualifying and stabilizing digital and analog electronic PCBAs for high-volume production with an accent on component-level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and manufacturing quality. Focus on analyzing complex multilayer boards, identifying failures with diagnostic tools, performing precision soldering, and maintaining reliable production test systems.

Location: Onsite in Alajuela, Costa Rica; candidates must be local to the position location. Relocation support is not available, and visa sponsorship is not provided. A-shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Qualify new products and support software and hardware stabilization before high-volume production.
• Test and troubleshoot complex multilayer electronic boards at component level using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Inspect products, identify damaged or missing components, and document product data to support repair processes.
• Repair defective circuitry through component replacement, soldering, and precision adjustments in an ESD-safe environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, final visual inspection, and functional validation of test systems.
• Support production flow and engineering deliverables related to manufacturability, testability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Electronics.
• At least 6 months of experience with computer operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with electronic and circuit analysis, welding, and fine motor work.
• Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
• Knowledge of ESD protocols and electronic components including SMD, through-hole, DIP, and PLCC.
• Teamwork, clear communication, process orientation, proactivity, adaptability, and attention to detail.
