Industrial Engineering Intern (Manufacturing): Supporting the CRVLE Industrial Engineering Team in game-plan governance and tactical execution of laboratory objectives with an accent on capacity planning and resource optimization. Focus on transforming production plans into executable schedules and reducing cycle time under real-time constraints.

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, Costa Rica. Must have unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

What you will do

• Support tactical planners to ensure factory readiness from early builds through volume activities.
• Track VPO movement and health, highlighting abnormal behaviors like holds, tool mismatches, or routing errors.
• Create and manage lab daily schedules using multiple planning systems, monitoring critical indicators for improvement.
• Provide hands-on execution monitoring for NPI builds and engineering activities during high-risk milestones.
• Optimize end-to-end scheduling strategies by applying sequencing logic (FIFO, QTG, QPS) to maximize bottleneck performance.
• Identify process gaps and recurring pain points to improve planning standards and readiness checklists.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with at least 50% of the program completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Macros, algorithms, Pivot tables, and Power BI.
• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).
• Unrestricted and permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Nice to have

• Experience in tactical planning, product engineering, work orders, or manufacturing planning.
