AI Tutor (Romanian)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois.

Salary: $35–$45 per hour for US-based candidates, depending on experience, skills, education, location, and qualifications. International compensation is provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Annotate, label, record, and provide inputs for multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and auditory elements.
• Translate and localize UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content from English into Romanian.
• Curate audio data representing pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, accents, dialects, and other prosodic details.
• Evaluate transcription accuracy, speech quality, cultural vocal expressions, ambiguous material, and noisy or accented recordings.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, accent variation handling, multilingual audio processing, and annotation tools.

Requirements

• Native Romanian proficiency, including familiarity with diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear and natural pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify pronunciation, intonation, accent, speech, and audio-quality nuances.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in accurate transcription, translation, and localization between English and Romanian.
• Ability to make consistent, independent judgments when working with ambiguous, noisy, or accented audio.
• For personal-device work, use a Chromebook, macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training.
• Professional voice experience such as voice acting, voice recording, or podcasting.
• Experience with software UI, product-copy, or conversational-AI translation and localization.
• Voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related portfolio work.
