AI Tutor (Croatian)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. U.S.-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: U.S.-based candidates earn $35–$45 per hour; international compensation details are provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Annotate, label, record, and provide inputs for multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory data.
• Translate and localize UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content from English into Croatian.
• Curate audio data that accurately represents pronunciation, accents, intonation, rhythm, emotion, and other prosodic features.
• Evaluate speech accuracy, audio quality, cultural vocal expressions, and contextual meaning across languages.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, accent handling, noisy-recording processing, and annotation tools.

Requirements

• Native Croatian proficiency, including familiarity with diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify speech, pronunciation, intonation, accent, and audio-quality nuances.
• High-accuracy transcription skills across accents and varying recording quality.
• Ability to translate and localize content between English and Croatian while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural nuance.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and independent judgment skills for ambiguous audio scenarios.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice model training.
• Professional voice experience, including voice acting, voice recording, podcasting, or audio production.
• Portfolio containing voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
