Dutch Audio Transcriptionist (AI Training)

What you will do

• Listen to Dutch-language audio and produce precise, verbatim transcriptions.
• Transcribe challenging recordings with crosstalk, filled pauses, background noise, and overlapping speakers.
• Identify and distinguish speakers throughout each recording.
• Apply detailed style guides and conventions for non-verbal sounds, incomplete utterances, and other spoken-language phenomena.
• Maintain consistent quality and accuracy across large volumes of task-based assignments.
• Work independently and asynchronously using web-based tools.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Dutch fluency is required.
• Exceptional listening skills for difficult or noisy audio.
• Strong written Dutch, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• High attention to detail, patience, and a methodical approach to repetitive work.
• Ability to follow detailed style and formatting rules consistently.
• Self-motivation and reliability when working independently.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in transcription, court reporting, or stenography.
• Experience with subtitling, closed captioning, or media post-production.
• Training or academic experience in linguistics or Dutch language studies.
• Experience with annotation platforms, data labeling workflows, transcription software, or audio editing tools.
• Knowledge of Dutch regional dialects and colloquial speech patterns.
