Dutch Audio Transcriptionist (AI Training)

Location: Fully remote, open to Dutch native speakers anywhere in the United States

What you will do

• Produce precise, verbatim transcriptions of Dutch-language audio.
• Transcribe challenging recordings with crosstalk, background noise, filled pauses, and multiple simultaneous speakers.
• Identify and distinguish speakers throughout each recording.
• Apply detailed style guides and conventions for non-verbal sounds, incomplete utterances, and other spoken-language phenomena.
• Maintain high accuracy across large volumes of audio and work independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Dutch fluency is required.
• Exceptional listening skills for difficult or noisy audio.
• Strong written Dutch, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• A detail-oriented, patient, and methodical approach to repetitive work.
• Ability to follow detailed formatting rules and work independently without direct supervision.
• Comfort using web-based tools and platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience in transcription, court reporting, stenography, subtitling, closed captioning, or media post-production.
• Training in linguistics or Dutch-related language studies.
• Experience with annotation platforms, data labeling, or AI training workflows.
• Familiarity with transcription software or audio editing tools.
• Knowledge of Netherlands and Flemish dialects and colloquial speech patterns.
