Senior Consultant VMware Cloud Foundation Deployment Engineer (VMware)

Location: Remote within the contiguous United States; travel within the US of up to 25% is required.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation management and workload domains.
• Design, automate, validate, and integrate software-defined data center and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Assess cloud platforms for functionality, availability, performance, technical feasibility, and migration readiness.
• Lead customer-facing technical discussions, architecture sessions, training, and solution enablement.
• Support digital transformation initiatives through consulting, implementation, operational enablement, and training.
• Assist with project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Expert-level experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Automation.
• At least 10 years of experience architecting and implementing data center solutions, including 5 years in infrastructure consulting.
• Experience with server, storage, networking, virtualization, software-defined infrastructure, and major virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or KVM.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation, scripting, and configuration management with Python, PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent consulting experience.
• Must be able to work remotely from the contiguous United States and travel within the US up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• VMware Certified Professional, VCF, VCAP, VCDIX, or VMware Knight certification.
• Broadcom VMware Knight certification.
• Knowledge of containers and native cloud services.
