Privacy Engineer (AI): Build privacy-by-design practices, privacy architectures, and AI-powered agents for a fintech platform with an accent on privacy-enhancing technologies, data governance, and regulatory compliance. Location: New York, NY office; in-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $1–$1 USD base pay range, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct privacy architecture reviews, identify risks, recommend controls, and embed privacy-by-design across technical layers.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance to implement privacy practices from system inception through launch.
• Build and use AI agents and sub-agents to automate and scale privacy operations.
• Guide the selection and deployment of privacy-enhancing technologies aligned with technical architecture and regulatory requirements.
• Advise stakeholders on evolving global privacy regulations, standards, and technologies.
• Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives that increase awareness of privacy principles across engineering and technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in data privacy, security, or privacy engineering, including hands-on privacy architecture work.
• Hands-on experience building and using AI agents and sub-agents to solve operational or technical problems.
• Experience managing technical and operational processes in a fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of GLBA, GDPR, and CCPA and their application to technical systems.
• Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies, data anonymization, secure data lifecycle practices, and cross-functional communication.
