Calibration Engineer (C++)

Location: Must be local to San Jose, CA; Agoura Hills, CA; or Tualatin, OR, US. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: $129,600–$228,200 base salary per year, plus eligibility for discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain calibration, characterization, and diagnostic software for ATE platforms.
• Design C++ libraries and applications for precision instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate designs and develop calibration methodologies.
• Analyze measurement data, characterize system performance, and identify improvements.
• Support new product introduction and transition engineering releases into manufacturing.
• Investigate hardware and software issues, develop validation tools, and document designs and results.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or an MS with 0–2 years of experience.
• Strong C++ programming and object-oriented design skills.
• Knowledge of electronics fundamentals and digital circuit operation.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and block diagrams.
• Experience translating hardware registers and interfaces into software abstractions.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, analytical troubleshooting, and teamwork.

Nice to have

• Experience with Automatic Test Equipment, calibration, characterization, or diagnostic software.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, PCIe, GPIB, or similar communication protocols.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, including Cp/Cpk and process capability.
