Finance Manager

What you will do

• Lead inventory accounting, valuation reviews, reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end and year-end reporting support.
• Maintain inventory controls, process documentation, reconciliation procedures, and supporting narratives.
• Prepare fuel tax, excise tax, and other commodity tax filings while reconciling them to operational and accounting records.
• Support external financial statement audits, regulatory audits, internal control reviews, and auditor or government information requests.
• Develop KPI reporting and inventory performance metrics to improve operational visibility.
• Support standardization, automation, ERP implementation, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• CPA designation or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supporting external audits and regulatory or compliance audits.
• Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, self-direction, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to demonstrate the values of The M.E.I. Way.

Nice to have

• Experience with inventory accounting, inventory controls, or commodity accounting.
• Experience preparing and reconciling fuel taxes, excise taxes, or other regulatory filings.
• Participation in ERP implementations or system transformation projects.
