AWS Senior DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Provision and configure the US AWS region with Infrastructure as Code while mirroring the existing EU environment.
• Design and manage an Aurora PostgreSQL cluster, including backups and region-specific KMS keys.
• Extend CI/CD pipelines for multi-region deployments and ECR image replication.
• Maintain observability parity across regions with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Statuspage.
• Implement least-privilege access controls and verify data residency without data paths leaking between US and EU environments.
• Build and support the US analytics pipeline, conduct failover and disaster recovery tests, support penetration testing, and prepare runbooks and handover documentation.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in DevOps engineering with AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, multi-region AWS environments, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS/Fargate, EC2, ALB, CloudFront, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, Secrets Manager, and ECR.
• Understanding of IAM, access controls, least-privilege security, data residency, observability, and operational reliability.
• Experience with disaster recovery, failover testing, RPO/RTO definition, AWS analytics services, and security assessments.
• Fluent English at B2 level or higher, EU work location, and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor in software delivery.
• Experience with shared, multi-tenant, region-partitioned architectures.
