What you will do

• Review existing merchant profiles through customer due diligence and event-driven reviews.
• Assess merchant risk based on business activity, transaction volumes, geographic exposure, and other AML factors.
• Conduct sanctions and card-scheme database checks while maintaining accurate KYC and compliance documentation.
• Perform quality controls and identify process gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and best practices to less experienced team members.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support KYC and AML awareness across the team.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar risk, KYC, or AML role within financial services, preferably payments or banking.
• Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and related regulatory requirements.
• Substantial knowledge of finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, responsibility, and diligence in a fast-paced environment.
• Full working proficiency in English, written and verbal, is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in additional European languages such as Czech, French, or Dutch.
• Experience working with multiple computer systems and programs.
