Financial Crime Intelligence Analyst - Fiat (Fintech)

Location: Malta, Spain, Poland, or Bulgaria; hybrid working with flexible hours covering 06:00–20:00 GMT/BST and occasional weekend shifts.

Salary: €35,000–€55,000 EUR annually for Poland, depending on experience and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Review sanctions and watchlist screening alerts involving entities and individuals.
• Manage end-to-end financial crime investigations triggered by transaction monitoring, payment screening, blockchain analytics, and other controls.
• Draft and submit Suspicious Activity Reports to relevant authorities.
• Work with transaction-monitoring colleagues to identify and test rule changes.
• Identify and escalate opportunities to strengthen the financial crime control environment.
• Present investigation findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience with fiat transaction monitoring in a regulated institution or digital assets setting.
• Experience reviewing sanctions and watchlist screening alerts.
• Experience drafting and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports.
• Strong critical-thinking, investigation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal English and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend rotations.
