Internship - Market Risk Stress Testing Project (Financial Markets)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Candidates must be studying in the Netherlands; during the internship, enrollment at a Dutch university is mandatory, or at an EU university for EU passport holders.

Salary: €700 internship allowance based on a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Monitor, analyze, and report market risk stress tests for trading activities.
• Become familiar with trading book portfolios, daily market risk metrics, and stress testing models.
• Validate stress testing results and investigate anomalies.
• Analyze historical market data and changes in portfolio positions.
• Support market risk-related regulatory exercises, including EBA stress testing.
• Collaborate with TRM risk teams and other departments in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• University student in economics, econometrics, finance, or another quantitative discipline.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
• Interest in financial markets, financial instruments, and market risk.
• Affinity with Python and SQL programming.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders.
• Fluent English and current enrollment at a Dutch university, or at an EU university for EU passport holders, throughout the internship.
