Security Software Engineer/Architect (Cybersecurity): Designing and developing cybersecurity software for vulnerability management, reporting, and process automation with an accent on software architecture, Python development, APIs, and secure infrastructure. Focus on defining technical direction, maintaining the full software lifecycle, and solving complex integration, testing, deployment, and reliability challenges.

Location: Hybrid role based in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany, with occasional business travel or on-site presence as requested. Colocation requirements are decided case by case.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity software solutions for vulnerability management, reporting, and process automation.
• Define and promote the technical direction, architecture, coding standards, and development procedures.
• Support software throughout its complete lifecycle, including documentation, continuous improvement, and final handover.
• Maintain architecture and design documentation and prepare activity, service, and milestone reports.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Managers, Team Leads, and customers to align solutions with requirements.
• Guide and mentor software team members.

Requirements

• University degree in software development, cybersecurity, IT security, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of experience in software development and/or software architecture.
• Advanced Python knowledge, including Django, FastAPI, Flask, pandas, or NumPy.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, full-stack development, Agile, test-driven development, CI/CD, RESTful APIs, object-oriented programming, and containerisation.
• Experience with complex database design and administration, Docker, Docker Compose, Git, GitLab CI/CD, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, and Linux and Windows server administration.
• Very good written and spoken English and availability for occasional business travel or on-site presence are required.

• Experience in cybersecurity architecture and vulnerability management.
• German-language skills.
• Experience leading technical direction or mentoring software developers.
