Cryptocurrency Intelligence Analyst (Crypto/AML): Researching and profiling virtual asset service providers, custodians, OTC desks, and exchanges to expand crypto intelligence products, with an accent on blockchain analysis, entity resolution, and regulatory risk assessment. Focus on identifying complex ownership structures, licensing and jurisdictional risks, and improving automated VASP coverage pipelines.

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C.; eligibility to work in the US is required. Hybrid employees may work from almost anywhere for up to 90 days per year.

Salary: $85K–$105K annually.

What you will do

• Research and document VASPs, custodians, OTC desks, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Analyze blockchain and off-chain data to identify risk indicators and assess crypto business operations.
• Apply AML concepts, including ownership structures, compliance controls, licensing status, and jurisdictional risk.
• Link real-world entities to their blockchain representations and improve product coverage.
• Own entity research caseloads, handle complex cases, and identify coverage or process improvements.
• Design and maintain automated pipelines supporting VASP coverage processes.

Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the US.
• Demonstrated interest in cryptoassets, financial crime, compliance, or international finance.
• Basic understanding of AML concepts such as beneficial ownership, sanctions, and enhanced due diligence.
• Ability to navigate structured and unstructured data, including registries, news sources, company websites, and public datasets.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and proactive communication.
• Ability to collaborate with a global team across Singapore, London, and Washington, D.C.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with VASPs, major crypto exchanges, or custodians.
• Experience with OSINT, public company registries, or financial regulatory research.
• Knowledge of global AML frameworks such as FATF guidelines and MiCA.
• Academic or practical experience in international relations, investigative journalism, compliance, economics, or law.
