Senior Data Analyst (Senior Consultant, Data & Analytics)

Location: Primarily remote, available only to candidates residing in Alabama, California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia; occasional travel or onsite meetings may be required.

Salary: $120,588–$195,955; hiring range: $120,588–$141,000, plus potential discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Configure, administer, and optimize Matomo Analytics, including goals, events, dimensions, segments, dashboards, and reports.
• Support Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Matomo Tag Manager implementations.
• Develop measurement strategies, KPIs, success metrics, tracking plans, and reporting frameworks aligned with product and business objectives.
• Implement, validate, and troubleshoot analytics tracking across web applications while resolving data quality issues with engineering teams.
• Build dashboards, documentation, tracking specifications, and implementation standards that enable actionable decision-making.
• Coach peers and advise customers and stakeholders on data literacy, analytics, privacy, and delivery risks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in web analytics, analytics implementation, or related data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced experience with Matomo Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and tag management platforms.
• Experience defining measurement strategies, KPIs, tracking plans, reporting frameworks, and measurable analytics requirements.
• Experience validating tracking, troubleshooting implementations, assessing data quality, and collaborating with engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Understanding of data privacy, consent management, and analytics best practices in regulated environments; residence in one of the approved US states is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with self-hosted or on-premises Matomo and Matomo APIs.
• Experience using SQL, spreadsheets, or business intelligence tools for advanced analysis.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for implementation support and tracking validation.
• Experience establishing analytics standards in greenfield environments or supporting government, healthcare, civic technology, or other regulated industries.
