Manager, Data Center Operations (AI)

What you will do

• Manage power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments to ensure 99.999% uptime for AI compute systems.
• Lead and develop a team of Data Center Operations Technicians through training and performance evaluations.
• Oversee hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory management to refine operational procedures.
• Coordinate between technicians, AI specialists, and external vendors to integrate new technology and expand capacity.
• Champion energy-efficient practices and sustainability efforts to optimize resources for AI workloads.
• Track and report key metrics like uptime, power efficiency, and issue resolution times to enhance site performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations or similar critical environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams in high-responsibility settings.
• Solid expertise in server hardware, cabling, and data center lifecycle management.
• Ability to work onsite in Memphis, TN or Southaven, MS.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and use ladders.
• Strong communication skills for concise and accurate knowledge sharing.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
• Proficiency with Jira and managing collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with scripting in Python or Bash to automate operational tasks.
• Proven history of partnering with vendors to scale operations and advance sustainability.
