Senior Systems Engineer (Identity & Access Management)

What you will do

• Design and build high-throughput, low-latency IAM capabilities for customer-facing and internal service APIs.
• Evolve authentication and authorization systems into modern, distributed, and edge-capable architectures.
• Translate product and security requirements into robust REST APIs and detailed technical specifications.
• Ensure platform reliability, observability, and resilience under constant global load.
• Maintain high engineering standards through rigorous code reviews and technical design documentation.
• Integrate AI tools into the development workflow for code generation, debugging, and optimization.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Deep knowledge of identity protocols and models: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and RBAC/ABAC.
• Proficiency in Go and TypeScript.
• Experience designing REST APIs, including routing, authentication, and versioning.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Redis, focusing on schema design and query optimization.
• Must be authorized to receive software/technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with credential and token lifecycle systems (issuance, rotation, revocation).
• Familiarity with hirify.global's developer platform: Workers, Durable Objects, KV, R2.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, or Kibana.
• Experience re-architecting large codebases under active production traffic.
