Associate Software Engineering

What you will do

• Build and support large-scale software platforms for credit and market risk calculations.
• Develop distributed computing solutions using databases, HDFS, cloud infrastructure, and Spark.
• Improve application performance by tuning CPU and memory utilization.
• Produce internal and external risk reporting with SQL-based data extraction and Tableau visualizations.
• Develop web interfaces that support risk management actions and resolve application issues with business users.
• Design and support scheduled batch processes, code reviews, production migrations, and SDLC activities for junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience with risk technology teams at a bank or comparable financial institution.
• Required experience in credit risk management, regulatory deliverables, and related technology.
• Strong software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, software design, and full SDLC experience.
• Experience with Scala, Java, Python, Spark, Linux, shell scripting, TDD with JUnit, and Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Experience with relational or object databases, Apache Airflow, distributed computing, performance metrics, and proprietary hirify.global technologies such as Slang and SECDB.
