Senior Data Engineer (iGaming)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Company

Develops and operates an in-house Sportsbook platform for multiple brands and B2B markets in the iGaming industry.

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve data structures for the Sportsbook data platform.
• Build new ETL flows and improve existing pipelines using data warehouse concepts.
• Design data structures and data modeling solutions for internal and external business needs.
• Ensure data consistency and accuracy by creating data validation methods.
• Write, optimize, and maintain stored procedures while applying database tuning techniques.
• Investigate message-based architectures for data streams, troubleshoot incidents, document procedures, and collaborate with stakeholders on timely insights.

Requirements

• Advanced T-SQL coding skills.
• Proven experience with relational and non-relational databases, including MSSQL 2014–2017.
• Experience with ETL processes, SSIS, data warehouse concepts, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with reporting and analytical tools such as SSRS and SSAS.
• Experience with Git and core database development and tuning techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Automation and scripting experience.
• Additional programming skills in .NET, Python, R, or Scala.
• Knowledge of big data concepts and data streaming architectures.
