What you will do

• Own the end-to-end detection and response strategy, architecture, and engineering across corporate, cloud, and factory environments.
• Design and build an AI-native D&R stack including detection-as-code, LLM-assisted triage, and agentic response automation.
• Lead incident response from triage through containment, remediation, and postmortem for high-severity scenarios.
• Set the technical direction for a small detection and response team and mentor engineers to improve detections and tooling.
• Partner with IT, infrastructure, and compliance teams to meet ITAR and CMMC monitoring and response requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of security engineering experience with deep expertise in SIEM, EDR, cloud/identity telemetry, and SOAR.
• Strong software engineering skills with fluency in detection-as-code and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proven track record of setting technical direction as a tech lead, team lead, or anchor senior IC.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI/LLM tooling to security workflows.
• Experience leading end-to-end incident response in production environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR authorization.

Nice to have

• Red team, penetration testing, or adversary emulation experience.
• Experience in ITAR, CMMC, or other regulated defense and government environments.
• Exposure to OT/ICS or manufacturing environment security.
• Production experience building agentic or LLM-based security automation.
• Experience building security capabilities from 0 to 1 at a fast-scaling startup.
