Manager Engineering

TL;DR

Manager Engineering (Manufacturing): Leading the development, validation, and lifecycle management of core engine components and technologies with an accent on new product introduction, technology introduction, supplier capability, and continuous product improvement. Focus on coordinating global engineering teams, solving complex design and manufacturing challenges, and delivering programs within time, cost, and quality targets.

Location: Onsite in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, five days per week. Up to 15% international and domestic travel may be required. Domestic relocation assistance is available; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a global design engineering team responsible for core component heads, blocks, and housings.
• Provide onsite engineering leadership and support for the manufacturing facility.
• Deliver NPI, NTI, NSI, CPI, and cost-reduction programs against schedule, cost, and quality targets.
• Develop component and technology strategies, standards, and processes for design control and product lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Supplier Development teams.
• Plan and manage significant engineering projects, including scope, resources, risks, dependencies, and contingencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Experience leading engineers and managing complex product design and development activities.
• Ability to translate business goals into tactical and strategic plans and track delivery against milestones.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Cienega de Flores, Mexico; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Project management certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
