Salary: $150,000–$200,000, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Design entity, record, and relationship data models with source-level provenance.
• Build probabilistic matching, deduplication, relevance scoring, calibration, thresholding, and abstention capabilities.
• Implement embeddings, vector retrieval, language-model integrations, prompts, output schemas, and citation-grounded generation.
• Develop secure ingestion and publishing pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources.
• Implement validation, lineage capture, audit logging, source-drift detection, telemetry, packaging, serving, versioning, and rollback.
• Document designs and assumptions and move changes through gated release and formal review processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, applied machine learning, ML engineering, or production analytics engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience handling large, imperfect operational data and delivering systems for sustained production use.
• Routine use of AI-assisted development and the judgment to verify generated output.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to stakeholders who must defend the resulting decisions.
• US citizenship and an active US Secret clearance are required; CAC eligibility and a favorable investigation are required from the start.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites, headquarters, and vendor facilities.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret clearance and experience with probabilistic matching, record linkage, master data management, identity management, or graph data modeling.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, pgvector, graph algorithms, scikit-learn, XGBoost, or PyTorch.
• Production retrieval-augmented generation, self-hosted or open-weight models, fine-tuning, adapters, or custom embeddings.
• Experience with AWS Glue, Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, synthetic data, or unstructured document ingestion.
• Federal DevSecOps, RMF, ATO, defense data, responsible AI, model monitoring, or NIST AI RMF experience.
