TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Backend): Designing and owning Trust and Telemetry subdomains for the GraphOS platform with an accent on identity management, audit logging, and telemetry pipelines. Location: Remote from the US or Canada

Salary: $165,000 – $195,000 USD + Equity

What you will do

• Own technical responsibility for TnT subdomains including OAuth/SSO flows, audit logging, and telemetry ingestion pipelines.
• Drive features end-to-end from writing design documents to implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Build for enterprise reliability by designing observability, rollback paths, and incremental delivery.
• Collaborate directly with Product and Design teams to scope and prioritize work in an async-first environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortem analysis to ensure system stability.
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and the establishment of technical standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience designing and building production backend services.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals: consistency, failure modes, and resiliency patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, or Java).
• Experience with relational databases and at least one non-relational store (key-value, document, or time-series).
• Hands-on experience with production ownership, including on-call and incident response.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL, GraphOS, or API gateways.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, or enterprise SSO flows.
• Knowledge of IAM systems, RBAC/ABAC models, or audit logging.
• Familiarity with AI agents, tool/function calling, or agentic middleware.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures including Kubernetes and service meshes.
