Software Product Owner (EV Charging)

Location: Bolzano, Bergamo, Bologna, Munich, or Charlotte

Salary: from €64,000 gross per year (including 30% variable bonus)

What you will do

• Define and manage the software roadmap for EV charging solutions based on business and regulatory needs.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog for charger software modules.
• Collaborate with System Architects, Hardware Engineers, and Developers to create specifications and user stories.
• Support Agile development through sprint planning, refinement, and continuous alignment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards including OCPP, ISO 15118, IEC 61851, and cybersecurity.
• Coordinate software releases and OTA rollout strategies.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner for complex software products (embedded, IoT, energy, or e-mobility).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product backlog management.
• Ability to translate technical requirements for embedded software, networking protocols, and cloud architectures.
• Fluent in English, as well as German and/or Italian.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EV charging technologies and standards (OCPP, ISO 15118, IEC 61851).
