Senior Software Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $170,000–$210,000

What you will do

• Design and optimize prompts for VLMs to support document classification and regulatory compliance validation.
• Build and maintain automated AI evaluation pipelines to measure model accuracy, latency, precision, and recall.
• Develop and maintain Python-based AI services using FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
• Evaluate and benchmark foundation models like Azure OpenAI and Google Gemini to optimize performance and cost.
• Collaborate with Product Management and SMEs to translate regulatory requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews to ensure maintainability and extensibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience designing prompts and workflows for VLMs and LLMs (GPT, Gemini).
• Proven experience designing AI evaluation frameworks, including precision, recall, and F1 scoring.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience optimizing AI systems for inference cost, latency, and reliability.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service or Google Vertex AI.
• Knowledge of RAG, vector databases, semantic search, or agentic AI workflows.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to develop web interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Background in Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) or regulatory compliance software.
