What you will do

• Own the developer experience and "factory", including the build, test, deploy, and local-dev loops.
• Build agent-safe environments with sandboxes and guardrails that allow agents to ship autonomously.
• Own end-to-end reliability, including SLOs, observability, on-call health, and incident response.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and oversee organizational spend visibility.
• Design and evolve platform capabilities that support multi-team contributions and scalable code deployment.
• Educate the wider engineering team on platform expertise to remove systemic bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Experience building environments, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for AI coding agents.
• Deep expertise in platform engineering, CI/CD, build/deploy tooling, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven track record of owning SLOs and incident response without a separate SRE team.
• Product-minded approach to prioritizing platform work based on downstream shipping impact.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Sydney, Australia for a hybrid work model (3 days in office).

Nice to have

• Experience with the current tech stack: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog, Node.js, or Python.
• Deep usage of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) in daily professional workflow.
