Junior Risk Officer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Junior Risk Officer (Fintech): Supporting market risk monitoring and reporting for CFD and FX trading operations with an accent on exposure analysis, client transaction flows, and trading system oversight. Focus on identifying unusual trading patterns, escalating anomalies during fast-moving markets, and maintaining risk dashboards across rotating trading shifts.

Location: On-site in Limassol, Cyprus. Monday-to-Friday weekly rotating shifts: 09:00–17:00 or 17:00–01:00.

What you will do

• Support market risk management services according to internal procedures and agreed service levels.
• Monitor client trading platforms, risk tools, instrument settings, risk parameters, and system performance.
• Track market risk exposures and client transaction flows, identifying anomalies and unusual trading patterns for senior review.
• Prepare risk reports and exposure summaries, including data collection, formatting, and quality checks.
• Maintain risk dashboards and internal monitoring workflows using basic AI and analytical tools under guidance.
• Coordinate with technology, operations, compliance, and senior risk teams, especially during stressed market conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, final-year studies, or recent graduation in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• 0–1 years of experience; internships, academic projects, or trading coursework are relevant.
• Developing knowledge of CFD and FX trading mechanics, exposure, and client flow concepts.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail in fast-moving, data-intensive environments.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to promptly escalate observations to senior staff.

Nice to have

• Experience with MetaTrader 4/5 or cTrader.
• Exposure to liquidity bridge technologies such as oneZero or to liquidity provider relationships.
• Familiarity with AI tools or data analytics platforms used in risk and trading workflows.
• CySEC Basic Certificate or an equivalent regulatory qualification, completed or in progress.
• Basic understanding of A/B book mechanics and trading revenue models.
