Software Engineer In Test Team Lead (Python)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Automation Engineers.
• Design, develop, and review Python-based automation frameworks, tools, and system tests.
• Define the automation strategy and expand scalable coverage across product capabilities.
• Build automation infrastructure for large-scale distributed environments.
• Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis, and quality improvements for complex distributed system issues.
• Partner with R&D, Product Management, Architecture, and Customer Engineering to support release readiness, stability, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, QA automation, or test infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering or automation teams.
• Strong hands-on Python development skills, including Python internals and best practices.
• Experience building automation frameworks and test infrastructure from the ground up.
• Experience testing or developing complex distributed systems, with strong Linux and scripting knowledge.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed storage, networking, cloud infrastructure, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Experience with performance, stress, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
