What you will do

• Build and harden internal security-sensitive tooling alongside engineering and operations teams.
• Perform deep security reviews of code and pull requests, specifically for systems handling Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Design and enforce security gates across the SDLC, including automated CI/CD checks and policy-as-code.
• Review security-relevant Terraform, cloud configurations (AWS/GCP), firewalls, and clinic connectivity.
• Improve visibility into the security posture across cloud environments and internal applications.
• Prepare engineering teams for HITRUST and specific customer security expectations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience implementing security-relevant systems in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python or at least one systems language.
• Experience contributing to cloud security controls in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong understanding of web application security and secure SDLC practices.
• Proficiency with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Proven track record of providing influential and practical security feedback during PR reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with Healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).
• Experience securing AI-assisted development workflows.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, Auth0, Okta, Kubernetes, or EKS.
• Experience with SAST, SCA, secret scanning, and software supply chain security.
