What you will do

• Own the approach to AI and agentic security, establishing guardrails for cloud and data access for LLM workloads.
• Develop and drive the adoption of the organization's AI-security standards across engineering teams.
• Manage the Panther detection platform, defining detection strategy and coverage across cloud, container, and SaaS logs.
• Lead incident response readiness, including the creation of playbooks and tabletop exercises aligned with HIPAA timelines.
• Perform security architecture reviews and threat modeling for the company's highest-risk designs.
• Mentor other security engineers and set high standards for detection authoring and code review.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security and software engineering with deep hands-on expertise in AWS and EKS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and ability to write production code in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of AI security, including securing LLM applications, agentic frameworks, and prompt-injection defenses.
• Experience in threat detection engineering (SIEM) and running full-scale incident response processes.
• Working knowledge of SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Published research or recognized contributions to AI-security tooling and red-teaming.
• Startup experience, particularly within health tech or highly regulated environments.
• Advanced specialization in Kubernetes (Helm) or policy-as-code.
