What you will do

• Lead Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and maintain the system's Authorization to Operate (ATO) for CMS.
• Oversee security controls and risk assessments for information systems operating within CMS-authorized enterprise platforms.
• Perform continuous monitoring activities, including security event logging, vulnerability scanning, and configuration management.
• Serve as the principal security and privacy advisor to the Program ISSO and federal stakeholders.
• Provide security engineering support for cloud-based and managed service environments.
• Ensure the implementation of security and privacy controls in accordance with federal government policies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on federal contracts.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NV, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, TN, UT, VA, WA, WI.
• Established experience managing RMF activities and supporting federal information security programs.
• Experience with custom software or cloud infrastructure programs.
• Solid understanding of government contracting, compliance, and audit trails.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience managing Paid Family Leave Benefits Programs.
• Experience working with state or local government in major cities.
• Track record of leading high-performing agile technology teams of 50+ staff.
