What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of a modernization framework and reusable components.
• Architect Java-based services, APIs, and integration layers for a modernized ecosystem.
• Integrate AI solutions to streamline vulnerability detection, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Oversee the migration of business logic from legacy platforms to modern architectures.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers while establishing coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and security teams to ensure system scalability and reliability.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active Public Trust clearance and Security+ certification required.
• 8+ years of experience (with BS/BA) in Java development and modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
• Expertise in designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience developing Java EE applications on WebLogic Application Server and RDBMS.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and building CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing monolithic applications into modular or microservice architectures.
• Knowledge of Kafka and API gateways.
• Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
