Database Administrator IV (AWS)

Location: Must be based in Denver, CO

What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise platforms including IBM Db2, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable database environments for operational workloads and analytics.
• Optimize performance through query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, and partitioning.
• Administer AWS database services, specifically Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon Redshift.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash to streamline provisioning and maintenance.
• Implement advanced security controls, including RBAC and encryption, to protect sensitive PHI data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience administering enterprise database environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL programming, database architecture, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting both Windows and Linux server environments.
• Proven experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift).
• Location: Must be based in Denver, CO

Nice to have

• Professional certifications in IBM Db2, MongoDB, AWS Database Specialty, or MS SQL Server.
• Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in healthcare or financial services industries.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, or BI solutions.
