What you will do

• Design, develop, tune, test, and maintain security detections for enterprise environments.
• Develop threat detection use cases with SIEM and log analytics platforms.
• Create and maintain SOAR workflows and other security automation to improve SOC efficiency.
• Research cyber threats, attacker techniques, and defensive strategies using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Integrate cloud, endpoint, identity, and network security telemetry.
• Prototype AI and automation capabilities and document detection logic and engineering solutions.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Security by Winter 2026.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networking fundamentals, Windows and Linux operating systems, identity and authentication, and common attack techniques.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, or Java.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals.
• Curiosity and a demonstrated passion for cybersecurity.

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, cloud platforms, security logging, or telemetry.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, Chronicle, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK, detection engineering, threat hunting, AI or machine learning in cybersecurity, and Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, written, and verbal communication skills.
