Senior Software Developer (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month employees work in the office.

Annual base salary: $164,000–$205,000 USD for positions based in Illinois.

What you will do

• Design, estimate, and deliver full-stack features across front-end, server-side, and database tiers.
• Build scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions using Azure services.
• Improve applications and own delivery pipelines, feature flags, integration, and deployment.
• Implement unit, integration, performance, security, and non-functional testing.
• Use observability tools and logging to troubleshoot development, test, and production environments.
• Lead technical design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and participate in the on-call pager rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of application development experience.
• Deep expertise in ASP.NET/Core and C#, with advanced Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Services, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Experience building web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks and applying TDD and BDD practices.
• Experience influencing and mentoring developers in an agile environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, production application support, Windows administration, user-story estimation, and code-review skills.
