Development Engineer (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

Development Engineer (Manufacturing): Developing and improving pressure-part manufacturing processes and ways of working across production sites in Lapua and Tampere with an accent on LEAN, production flow, manufacturability, and new manufacturing capabilities. Focus on planning development projects, reducing waste, stabilizing processes, and turning improvement concepts into practical changes on the factory floor.

Location: Onsite in Tampere or Lapua, Finland, with regular travel between both production units.

What you will do

• Plan and execute development projects supporting the pressure-part manufacturing strategy.
• Improve production flow through continuous improvement and systematic waste reduction.
• Identify and implement new manufacturing capabilities in internal production and subcontracting.
• Facilitate manufacturability and new concepts across the upstream and downstream value chain.
• Document processes, improve ways of working, and establish follow-up models with operational teams.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Written and spoken Finnish and English are required.
• Regular travel between Tampere and Lapua is required.
• Hands-on, analytical, proactive approach with the ability to collaborate across stakeholder groups.
