What you will do

• Identify and lead critical efforts related to platform scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Architect and develop key projects, such as rolling out a service mesh or designing video ingestion services.
• Influence the technical direction and feature set of the platform with original ideas.
• Mentor team members and establish engineering best practices across the organization.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align with product and organizational objectives.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with major cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Must be based in or be able to work onsite in San Mateo, CA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with service meshes such as Istio.
