Cybersecurity Engineer (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $123,700–$191,300 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Develop internal cybersecurity platforms with backend services, REST APIs, and analyst-facing web dashboards.
• Build agentic AI pipelines using LLMs, RAG architectures, and MCP-based tooling for security analysis, control validation, and evidence collection.
• Develop document ingestion and data processing pipelines for policies, audit evidence, scan outputs, and other security artifacts.
• Design reporting and triage interfaces that surface security findings, compliance posture, and risk indicators.
• Create automation scripts and workflows in Python, Go, or TypeScript and evolve data schemas and storage models.
• Collaborate with AppSec, GRC, and M&A Integration teams; track platform KPIs and, for Team Lead candidates, guide a small technical team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript and experience working across a polyglot stack.
• Experience with web applications and backend services using React, Next.js, FastAPI, Node.js, or equivalent technologies.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, including LLM API integration, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, or agent orchestration.
• Knowledge of application security or GRC, including OWASP, vulnerability management, NIST, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, Docker, asynchronous task infrastructure, ticketing tools, and technical team leadership.

Nice to have

• Security+, SSCP, CISSP, or equivalent industry certification.
• Experience with Redis, Celery, JIRA, or ServiceNow.
