Sr. Developer

TL;DR

Sr. Developer (Java/Spring Boot, Angular/React): Designing and delivering secure, scalable enterprise applications and APIs with an accent on fullstack development, cloud-native technologies, and high-performing digital solutions. Focus on architecting REST and SOAP services, integrating AI capabilities, improving CI/CD practices, and providing technical leadership across distributed Agile teams.

Location: Onsite at 8200 Dixie Rd, Brampton, Ontario, Canada; travel requirements up to 10%.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement secure, scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
• Build modern applications and integrate RESTful and SOAP-based web services and APIs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, digital partners, and Agile Scrum teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions using modern frameworks, cloud-native technologies, and third-party libraries.
• Lead code reviews, identify technical risks, and promote development, security, and quality standards.
• Mentor developers and contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and AI-assisted application development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in Agile environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular 18+, React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Bitbucket, Nexus, Artifactory, Docker, Jenkins, Nginx, and Unix/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB, plus Microsoft Azure AKS.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, planning, estimation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Figma, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft OpenAI, Google Gemini, and other Generative AI platforms.
• Knowledge of Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Quantum Metric, or Adobe Analytics.
