What you will do

• Define and validate electrical and optical interconnect solutions across electrical, mechanical, optical, and performance requirements.
• Recommend interconnect solutions and provide implementation guidance within a multifunctional hardware development team.
• Participate in designing AC and DC power interface modules and platform cooling systems.
• Evaluate connectors, cables, backplanes, adaptors, and patchcords for new hardware designs.
• Perform application verification testing for power designs and interconnect solutions.
• Work with suppliers to identify solutions that satisfy system requirements.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment and measurement techniques.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Available for a 4–8 month placement starting September 2026.

Nice to have

• Understanding of high-speed signaling, transmission lines, digital and analog design, and power electronics.
• Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools.
• Familiarity with OTN, Ethernet, SONET, or Fibre Channel protocols.
• Previous related co-op experience.
