Clinical Research Specialist (Science)

TL;DR

Clinical Research Specialist (Science): Managing protocol teams to design, implement, and report results from HIV and other infectious disease clinical trials with an accent on protocol development and study start-up. Location: Remote (United States). Attendance at an annual network meeting in the DC area is required.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead protocol development, study start-up, and clinical trial conduct activities.
• Write protocol documents and informed consent forms, incorporating input from subject matter experts.
• Develop and manage study-specific ancillary documents, such as manuals of procedure and site training materials.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including clinical data management, statisticians, and laboratories.
• Resolve issues encountered by sites during all phases of the study to ensure progress.
• Assess and implement process improvements to increase efficiency within and across functional areas.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Master’s degree in public health or social sciences with 2+ years of experience in Phase I-III clinical trials, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven experience leading protocol development and writing clinical research protocols and ancillary documents.
• Excellent verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with HIV, hepatitis, and/or tuberculosis trials.
