TL;DR
Junior Cloud Integration Developer (Kubernetes/AWS): Building and supporting secure, scalable cloud integration services for a federal healthcare modernization project with an accent on healthcare interoperability, cloud-native deployment, and observability. Focus on implementing HL7, FHIR, and X12 integrations, troubleshooting production issues, and designing reliable telemetry and service mesh capabilities.
Location: 100% remote, must reside within the continental United States; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a government clearance are required.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and support cloud-based integration solutions using Kubernetes and AWS services.
- Build and maintain healthcare interoperability capabilities based on X12, HL7, and FHIR standards.
- Implement continuous delivery workflows with Argo CD and support observability through Datadog or comparable platforms.
- Troubleshoot production integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to establish reusable integration patterns and improve service reliability.
- Implement telemetry, logging, tracing, and service mesh technologies such as Istio in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience developing cloud-based integration solutions.
- At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and AWS integration services.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing X12, HL7, and FHIR healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience with Argo CD or similar CI/CD tools, observability platforms, and distributed telemetry solutions.
- U.S. citizenship, eligibility to obtain and maintain a government clearance, and residence within the continental United States are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Istio or other service mesh technologies, container orchestration, microservices, hybrid cloud architectures, or enterprise integration platforms.
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcare environments.
