Senior/Lead Performance Engineer

What you will do

• Design and maintain performance test suites for AWS-hosted microservices and shared platform components.
• Define KPIs, baselines, thresholds, and non-functional testing strategies for release readiness.
• Embed performance testing into CI/CD workflows with DevX, Platform Engineering, SDET, and product teams.
• Analyze logs and observability data to identify performance degradation and actionable trends.
• Run load, stress, spike, and endurance tests aligned with business requirements.
• Investigate production-like incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend architecture, API, database, and infrastructure optimizations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on performance testing and analysis experience for cloud-hosted, microservices-based SaaS platforms on AWS.
• Experience building performance testing processes from scratch.
• Strong experience with Locust; familiarity with k6, Gatling, or JMeter.
• Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch, plus AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL analysis, execution plans, indexing, optimization, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and scripting in Python or a similar language.
• Fluent English communication skills and experience working in distributed, remote-first teams across multiple time zones.
