Senior Software Engineer - AI Agents

Location: Hybrid position in Ashburn, Virginia, or Foster City, California; regular office attendance is expected, with days confirmed by the Hiring Manager. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $123,000–$190,900 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop secure enterprise AI applications and scalable AI-powered products for internal business units.
• Build highly available and scalable RESTful services and production software using Python and modern backend architectures.
• Design and implement AI agents, agentic pipelines, and solutions based on LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
• Implement security guardrails and protocols that protect sensitive data and support compliance with financial regulations.
• Evaluate, compare, optimize, and integrate large language models and AI model APIs according to business requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver user-centric and accessible solutions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s graduates need 2+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of AgenticAI development experience and cybersecurity training or education.
• At least 3 years of experience developing scalable RESTful services with Python and 2+ years of pushing code into production.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, fine-tuning, AI agents, or agentic pipelines.
• Experience with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX; LLMs, vector databases, AI agent frameworks, and model APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development, Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems, RDBMS and NoSQL databases, software engineering practices, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Go, Rust, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, MySQL, Cassandra, CUDA, IntelliJ, VSCode, Postman, or Jupyter.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
