TL;DR
Production Support, Biotechnologist II (Biotechnology): Coordinating material staging, equipment readiness, documentation, and operational support for large-scale allogenic biomanufacturing with an accent on cGMP compliance, cleanroom operations, and production continuity. Focus on managing single-use bioreactors and consumables, supporting tech transfer runs, and assisting manufacturing teams across core unit operations.

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA. Onsite production-floor and cleanroom work. Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility required to support shifting campaign timelines and floor demands.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the staging, movement, and readiness of process-critical materials, consumables, single-use bioreactor assemblies, and equipment.
  • Manage reusable parts, including parts washer and autoclave activities where applicable.
  • Support media and buffer production by weighing components for formulation.
  • Develop and execute suite-readiness checklists and coordinate procurement, BOM inventories, requisitions, and deliveries.
  • Provide material-flow support during technical transfer milestones, including water runs, particle runs, and engineering runs.
  • Assist manufacturing teams directly with core operations such as cell growth, harvest, and fill/finish while maintaining GMP documentation and resolving material-related deviations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in cGMP biological manufacturing or a regulated clinical laboratory environment.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques, hygienic processing concepts, and basic microbiology principles.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or another life sciences discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Proactive communication, strong computer literacy, organization, adaptability, and accurate decision-making.
  • Ability to work on the production floor, complete continuous cleanroom gowning, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow cGMP, GDP, safety, sanitization, room-clearance, SOP, Work Instruction, and material-tracking requirements.
